Study tour in india
We Believe Travel Plays An Integral Part In Education. A tour to any destination is an experience thatstudents will remember as one of the highlights of their education. It helps to develop social skills and teambuilding, stimulates personal growth, adaptation and observation skills andgives the opportunity to learn about other cultures and customs. Our team iswell travelled and has many years experience planning student group tours. Thisyear we planned to visit Calcutta University is one of the most prestigious andoldest universities in India. The University was founded on January 24, 1857,on the suggestions of Court of Directors of the East India Company, to the GovernorGeneral of India in council. It wasinitially formed as the replica of the University ofLondon.
We start ourjourney to Kolkata on 17th June at 10.30pm.
Day 1
We started by plotting outa schedule of whichplace we would visit on whichdays. This was all basedon geography and driving, andwe booked hotels accordingly. But we built in lots of flexibility too, because having never done a trip like this, we knew we mightwant change ourminds aswe went. And we also knowthat traffic in Kolkata, especially inSouthernKolkata, can upset even the best laid schedule. We reach Kolkata at 11.00 am 18thJune. We take rest in a Hotel had our lunch and went out to roamaround the city enjoy street food, do some shoppingfrom street market.

Challenges that we face
Planning and preparation areoften the biggest hurdles in setting up an educational trip.
Nearly every field tripexperience requires permission from each student’s parent or guardian. Parentswill often worry about the safety of their children outside university, andliability becomes an issue, especially if the field trip involves physical activities. Many students will also have physical or medical limitations; teachers musttake these into account and prepare for potential problems.
Study tour in abroad is a greatopportunity to learn many things, visit interesting places and meet newfriends. However, there are some issues that you mayneed to be aware of. We present the most commonchallenges faced in this tour and how to deal with them.
This is probably the most obviouschallenge of study tour in abroad. Even if your studies are in a countrywhere is spoken the same language you do, itmay be still complicated to understand the strong localaccent. But if you are moving to the country wherepeople are speaking in a totally unfamiliar language, sometimes you can experience moments of frustration.
Ø Overcoming the language barrier. This isprobably the most obvious challenge of study tour in abroad....
Ø Calculate your budget. Money is an issue for allstudents, but those living or study tour in abroad must be more awareof.
Ø Being far from your parents and friends....
Ø You may get ill....
Ialso suggest our students and colleagues to use some online tools that may beuseful for overcoming the language barrier.
Cost can be a key obstruction inconducting a foreign trip. University will often have tight budgets for busrental, daily allowance, and food and drink purchase and fees for trips.Anything beyond the Universities budget will need to come from another source, sometimes from the educator himself.
Some Universities also requireinsurance for the students on foreign trips because of the large number ofliability issues. This cost can easily send a field trip well over budget andleave educators scrambling for a solution.
The process oflearning about new culture can be challenging because it gives you a whole newperspective and understanding of other people's points of view.
Conclusion
The purpose of the tour is usually observation for education,non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside theireveryday activities, such as going camping with teachers and their classmatesTeachers often take the time to learn about the destination and the subjectbefore the trip.
A study tour is a unique travel experience that combines learning withtravelling. The area of study that you are interested in exploring willdetermine how the tour is organized. For example, tours focusing on businessstudy will see you visiting international corporations to learn directly fromglobal experts. At the end of the reportI would like to thanks our Honorable Chairman of the Board of trustee Md ImranChowdhury who sponsor the whole trip and of our management team who also givetheir support and help to complete thistour.
Thank you.
